Manifesto

Most outputs are chaos.

The Maurer Rose algorithm generates an infinite landscape of geometric possibility. Feed it the wrong parameters and it collapses — noise, entropy, nothing worth looking at. Feed it carefully tuned parameters and something else happens. Structure emerges. A rare configuration crosses the threshold from mathematical output into something that resonates.

Periodicity is the practice of finding those configurations. Not generating them — the algorithm does that — but recognising them. Each piece in the collection exists because a human judgment was made: that this one, from the near-infinite space of candidates, is worth keeping.

That act of selection is what makes it art.

Be notified when a new configuration is released. Nothing else.
